Our Story

As a gigging percussionist, frustration grew due to cramped venues. These venues could not accommodate a full kit or a proper cajon setup. Available stomp boxes did not offer the stylistic versatility or the deep bass needed. They were uncomfortable for a heel-stomper, used cheap pickups with poor tone, and were often overpriced digital gadgets. A better way was needed.

Countless hours were spent testing different hardwoods and microphonic amplification methods to capture the perfect low-end frequencies. The result of that relentless experimentation is Rhino Stomp—an all-acoustic, exquisitely balanced, and ergonomically designed instrument that delivers the authentic, rich kick drum thump that had been missing.
